[close] In the year 2012, we lived in an electric world. We relied on it for everything. And then the power went out. Everything stopped working. We weren't prepared. Fear and confusion led to panic. The lucky ones made it out of the cities. The government collapsed. Militias took over, controlling the food supply and stockpiling weapons. Its 15 years later and we still don't know why the power went out. But we're hopeful someone will come and light the way.

[close] Welcome! It is an easy time to sit around and be frustrated with our system. Everyone talks about it. Conversations revolve around statements like, "They've totally corrupted the government" or "We have to get our system back on track." But what would you do about it? More interestingly, if you were cast into the role of one of the authors of the Constitution, what would you do differently to ensure a government truly focused on the needs of the people and the country? I have posed these questions to myself, as well as the natural followup questions: OK, if you have a better idea, how could it be brought about? Who would fight it? What other forces might be out there attempting to do something similar? And, left unchecked, where does the current system end up? If you have ideas or references to books that help answer this question please let them be known.

[close] Idieyam is a fictional universe, home to humans with a unique power to manipute one of the six elements (air, water, earth, fire, life, death) to their will. Each element has its own abilities that tie in with them, and the person able to manipulate that element learns to use each technique over time. When a child reaches the age of sixteen, they are brought to the palace for their Keeper Ceremony. Each child is escorted by their father, except for in certain circumstances where there is no father and their mother or eldest sibling escorts them. They stand in front of the Elemental Mirror, a historical full-length mirror, in which they come face to face with the Wolf God, Kiowa. Kiowa then bestows upon them the element he believes will best fit them. Members of the same family will often be granted the same element or an element closest to it. Once a child receives their element, they are then conscripted into a certain line of work. Most are able to choose what they want and what they want are usually associated with their element. Many boys will begin training to become Keeper Warriors, a specific soldier group that excludes women. Note This is an advanced roleplay based on the book I wrote myself.
