[close] The Middle East Studies Center at Portland State University and the Center for South Asian & Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are co-hosting a monthly book club! We welcome all educators, K-12 teachers, community college professors, and librarians. All books are chosen for their representations of the Middle East, North Africa, or South Asia. We will explore all genres, but emphasize books honored by the Middle East Outreach Council’s Middle East Book Award, which annually recognizes picture books, youth literature, and youth nonfiction. We strive to keep the book options accessible and affordable.
