This is the home of Sprout — a small green dino who learns to name his feelings, calm his body, and grow a kind, confident heart — and the wider world of gentle, social-emotional picture books and early readers built around him. Here you can: - Talk about helping young children understand emotions like worry, anger, sadness, jealousy, and pride - Share what's working (and what's hard) in your read-alouds and feelings conversations at home or in the classroom - Get first looks at new Sprout books, plus free printables, coloring pages, and calm-down cards - Swap recommendations for other wonderful picture books about feelings, kindness, and early reading A note on who's here: I'm Matthew Hampton, the author and illustrator behind the Sprout books. I started this group to build a kind little community around big feelings and early reading — so please jump in, ask questions, and share your own favorites. New voices always welcome.
