I've read 5 of his books and have several more on my TBR.

I'm trying to get caught up on several series this year. I enjoy the crime thrillers by Kendra Elliot.

I'm hoping to finish 3 of her Mercy Kilpatrick series this month and have started reading A Merciful Silence. This is book 4 in the series.

Does anyone have an auto-buy/read thriller series?

I have a lot of them which is why I am always trying to get caught up on series. Here are a few of them:

Victor Methos's Vegas Shadows Series that starts with The Silent Watcher.
John Gilstrap's Irene Rivers Series that starts with Burned Bridges
Steve Urszenyi's Special Agent Alexandra Martel that starts with Perfect Shot.
John McMahon's PAR Unit Series that starts with Head Cases.
Marc Alan Edelheit's Command Decision series that starts with Forged in Battle
Andrew Mayne's The Specialists series that starts with Mr. Whisper.
Carolyn Arnold's Sandra Vox series that starts with Save Her Life.

There are so many more, but we would like to hear what series are on your auto read list. Maybe we'll find another one to add to our lists.

There are so many great thrillers coming out in early April. Is anyone planning to read any of the following?

False Witness by John Carson - The pub. date is Apr 5th. This is the next book in the DCI Liam Brodie series. If you read the series, what do you think?

The Washashore by Christopher Mirabile - The pub. date is Apr 7th.

Stolen Family by Lisa Regan - The pub. date is Apr 9th. This is the 24th book in the Detective Josie Quinn series

Hope Rises by David Baldacci - The pub. date is Apr 14th. This is the second book in the Walter Nash series.

Hunting Ground by Andrew Warren - The pub. date is Apr. 16th. - This is the 7th book in the Thomas Caine Thriller series.

Has anyone read or getting ready to read the Jonathan Grave series by John Gilstrap? The first book is No Mercy.

This is a series where I've read books 15-17, but need to read the early part of the series.

Read some and enjoyed them.

Not possible to keep up with all of them Sean. Too many good writers!

I feel the same way, Carolyn. There are so many more books that I want to read than I can possibly fit into my reading schedule. I create a monthly TBR, but it always changes some.

I have a shelf called 'Books to read in 2026' where I list books I really want to read (including next in series I like) but never seem to get round to. It's a good go-to list for challenges. I won't get them all read, but I can always transfer those I'm still keen on to my 2027 list (along with a host of new ones!)

A small list of a few books, I have read or too read that look good and also recommended.

Sean, I read ARCs of The Hard Line and Cold Zero. Both were great reads. I'm looking forward to your reviews on them.

After reading The Magpies in March, I'm also looking forward to reading The Wasp Trap by Mark Edwards in April.

I read Chasing Shadows as an ARC and enjoyed it. It has well-developed characters, plenty of action, and a gripping plot.

His books and Angela Marsons books very much same DI and team but both great.

The Salt King by Nataha Pulley, but it wouldn't be out until August.. hope to get it first on Netgally though!

I love that series Pam. started reading it a few years ago on Netgalley and then went back to the start of the series.
Robert Bryndza is another must read author for me.

I am so excited to look into all these suggestions. These are books and authors I have not heard of…. Yikes! 😬 Been on the reading train for a little over a year… loving it but still discovering great authors and novels! Retirement has done me well!

I’m looking forward to the new release by Karen Slaughter and the new release by Jennifer Hillier. I believe they come out this summer. And they never disappoint!!!

Also…. Curious… my mom loved reading Nora Robert’s. I had never read her and I don’t get the chance to ask my mom. What sort of novelist is she? Wondering if I would enjoy her ??

There's a lot to get excited about in the thriller world. I've read my whole life and I still try to read 30% of my books each year by new-to-me authors. That's why my TBR is so large. LOL.

Karin Slaughter has a book scheduled for publication in June 18th. It's The Secrets We Hide, the second book in the series.

I've never read anything by Jennifer Hillier, but I have her book Wonderland on my TBR. Her novel Heart of Glass is scheduled to be published on August 25th.

Most of what I have read by Nora Roberts are romantic suspense novels. She also writes some contemporary romance novels.

My favorite series is written under her pseudonym J.D. Robb. It's a near future police procedural with a little romance.

Tana French - anxiously waiting for The Keeper.

Adrian McKinity - love the Sean McDuffy series. He is a Catholic policeman in Ireland during The Troubles. I am ready for The Detective Up Late #7 in the series.

Stuart McBride Anything in the DI Logan McRae series. The classic unperfect cop. Want to read This House of Burning Bones next, #13 in the series
Val McDermiud - Ready for Insideous Intent in the Tony Hill/Carol Jordan #10.

And has no one mentioned John Sandford Prey books with Lucas Davenport? I am ready for the newest one, #35, I believe. Can't think of the book title.

I am ready for #9 in the Kim Stone series. I really enjoy her writing.

The last author I wanted to say is Val McDeremid. I want to read Insideous Intent next. This is in the Tony Hill/Carol Jordan series.

Cameron, Revenge Prey by John Sandford will be published April 7th. I read an ARC of it. It's good.

I've started reading Broken Circle by Matt Brolly. This is police procedural set in Cornwall, England and the 3rd book in the DS Liam Kilshaw series.
