Sergeant-Major Brandon
Tall, handsome, British Army Sergeant-Major who served in the Northwest Frontier of India under Colonel (then-Major) Richard Crawford, starting as his batman. Became the youngest Regimental Sergeant-Major in the history of the Army, “an honor conferred on few at any age.” When the Colonel later retired and moved to Somerset, Brandon did as well, buying a small cottage near their home. Still ‘Serves at the discretion of the War Office’, as does the Colonel, both often called away for secret missions. Has a facility for learning foreign languages, including Urdu and Hindi.
