Not to be confused with Starman's foe, The Light, Luthor used that as an alias in Superman #10.

Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor has evolved from a one-named megalomaniac in the Golden Age to a scientist who would build robots to rob banks in the Silver Age, to a businessman whose insidiousness is not known to the majority of the general public, to the point that he was elected president.

Lex Luthor is best known for being an archenemy to Superman and the Justice League, although he has fought nearly every DC hero, even Vertigo's Black Orchid, Swamp Thing, and the Doom Patrol, the latter group learning of Luthor's villainy when he attempted to control Cliff Steele with replacement parts. …more
