Born in the underdark in the drow society of Menzoberranzan in 1297 DR as the third son to Matron Malice Do'Urden, the Matron Mother of House Do'Urden. Drizzt felt alone in his world due to him being the only dark elf without a evil hateful heart. Drizzt's father was Zaknafein, the famous weapons master of House Do'Urden. Zaknafein also secretly hated Drow society but this was not discoverd until he taught Drizzt his now formidable martial skills, in his time with Drizzt was able to reinforce his moral code into his son. Drizzt uses his fathers code through the entire series.
