If their books got release then it's good, otherwise I dun care much, move on. They can just bother themselves with attending con after con, coz completing their book is not the ultimate concern anymore for them, so that is also the same for me, their book doesn't matter to me.(less)

The actual rating would be disabled until the moment the book is published and the "hype meter" or whatever is the score that people expect of the book before its published. I really don't like when things have a rating before people even see them. As for your sentiment that the author is being "denied a 5 star rating before even seeing his work" i think instead there shoudn't be a rating before people see it at all. I hope this wasn't too rambly...(less)
