She and I usually agree on books, but I like French a lot more than she does. Anyhow, it's just a matter of personal preference. You're not alone in your reaction to French's writing.

It also depends on one's mood. Sometimes, I love French's details in that they enhance the suspense for me, and other times, I just want her to get to the point.

I apologize regarding those who have commented on your spelling. You're not a white supremacist who's mocking other races. You're just someone looking for affirmation regarding your reaction to a writer. You confused one homophone for another or made a typo. People do both things all the time!!! You didn't deserve to be mocked. Keep reading, and trust your own reaction to things.

Readers - please be kind to other readers. We're a dying breed. There's nothing wrong with teaching others, but mockery has no place here. It gives me hope for the human race that so many have liked my response. (less)

I wish Tana put more time into details like this over what alcoholic beverages the five housemates were drinking, etc. There were about 100 pages in the middle of this book that were about nothing. When a book is written as one person’s point of view, the writer has to be more interesting! Tana should’ve put a bit more info into the background of Grace/Lexie’s character and less about the damn house.(less)
Laya No, but the first book has a back story of one of the characters mentioned here.
