So really, Elk Head Woman would hav…moreI read this scene as the game with death trope, therefore the challenge is going to be on Denorah's playing field. So really, Elk Head Woman would have been able to play any game or sport with skill. But basketball is a particularly significant sport in many native communities. Plus, the whole scene reads like an embellished tall tale/legend that one of the elders might tell to young kids. (less)
