Am I the only one who didn't like any of the adult characters in the book? Not Toby, not Rachel, not Elizabeth (whine, whine, whine), not Seth, not the Upper East Side social circle. None of 'em.

Loved the book but found Libby as narrator somewhat jarring. I kept forgetting she was the narrator in fact until her voice intruded. And her omniscience was unexplained - any other thoughts on this aspect? Why not just use 3rd person omniscient for each character?

More of a comment than a question: I'm surprised there are not a hundred comments about this fascinating book! I loved how it kept upending my expectations, like when Libby says, "The only way to get someone to listen to a woman [is to] to tell her story through a man; Trojan horse yourself into a man, and people would give a shit about you" (236). I sat up and asked, "What is really going on here?"
