Can someone please explain the (unexplained) shift in Ross and Demelza's relationship??? The author doesn't give any evidence for why and when this happens. And don't say it was the betrayal - I got that already, but they are strong together after that, so what happens?

Ca…moreFrom what I read it wasn't implied that anything was given to Bodrugan, so much as she just was able to talk him into introducing her to the Judge. Call it her charismatic way of interacting that helped get him to introduce her. Besides that, I don't think it would take much to get Bodrugan to do anything for her, he is a pervert who really wants to get on her good side so he can take advantage of her. (less)

I'm listening, so I don't have the written words in front of me. Mr Graham has referenced the gagers (gajers??) a few times. I think they're folks who try to catch and bring before the courts those smuggling goods. Might someone here confirm this for me?
