I'm currently in the middle of the Old Men's War series by John Scalzi, so I don't want to cut in with another book, but good to know that my new anime obsession - Yuri On Ice - falls right in the middle of Romance Week. >we call everything on the ice "love"<
my suggestion would be "Perfect timing" by Jill Mansel
Sam wrote: "My suggestion for a Valentine's Day read: The Necrophiliac"Thanks for the recommendation. I just downloaded it!
I am currently reading Fifty Shades Darker, but love all of Helen Hardt books. Have some but not all of hers.
Elyse wrote: "Not big into straight romance novels. I'm reading Throne of Glass!"Yes! Re-reading the series and still love it and feel the same excitement as i felt reading it for the first time :)
Dawn wrote: "Anything by Kristen Ashley is worth reading for Valentine's Day. However, the Fantasyland series actually has a character named "Valentine"... read it. You will thank me later! Fan..."I agree wholeheartedly..... i'll definitly reread something of hers... with her books there is Valentine's day all year long.. plus I hope Valentine(the charecter)gets her own book...
Try Penelope by Anya Wylde for a cute Regency romp. Of if you like contemporary, The Magister Series by July Hall, a total of 4 main books and a novella - great story and steamy sex!

Where are the really unique professions of love and concepts that actually pull you in to read more?

Please give us an example of how it should have been done to avoid being "pretentious and predictable."

I only commented on how the words spoke to me or, in this case, didn't.
Janice wrote: "I don't pay too much attention to St. Valentine's Day, but I love family, and I love those non-scary, non-gruesome paranormal romances ...especially those with "good guy" shifters and vampires...no..."Hi you should try nalini singh. The psy/changling series books. I can't put them down, read and re read them so much im glad there on kindle cos I'd have worn a paperback book out
Chumik wrote: "I suggest "Queen Margo"I'm currently reading "Fangirl" :)"
Night Prince is my favorite or the Wallflower series.
Sumeet wrote: "Sophie wrote: "I´m actually needing a good romance novel... one that stick to you forever"Hey Liza, If you get one then please share the name of book with me.
Take care :-):-)"
Me before You, and the next part After You are surely to leave their mark. Enjoy reading :)
I really loved "Wait for you"
, "What I Saw And How I Lied"
, "Wallbanger"
and "Mystery Man"
. They are amazingly awsome.... Must Reads....
I"m currently the beginning of Ben and River's love story in book 17 of Bella Forrest's A Shade of Vampire Series
Just finished Infini by Krista & Becca Ritchie yesterday and I'd say it totally counts as a romance book, among other things.
I'm reading Moby Dick but I encourage everyone to pick up some Henry Miller's Sexus if they want a love story. Or if you never get laid you could check out Bukowski's poetry collection, Love is a Dog from Hell.
I recently read High School Debut, Vol. 01 - High School Debut, Vol. 07. It's a wonderful manga series about the girl that wants to find love and the boy that seems to have given up on love - and how they find love with one another.I also recently read Fresh Romance, Vol. 1, which showcases romance in all its' stories. 2 high school girls are very in love, and finally "come out" together. A shunned girl marries a nobleman, and they learn to love one another. A girl sent as a matchmaker finds love for herself, when trying to fix some friends up. 3 sister princesses all fall for a beast, but only the youngest truly loves him.
After Black Butler, Volume 23, I will be reading Say I Love You Vol. 15. After that, I will - most likely - be reading either Fruits Basket Collector's Edition, Vol. 3 - Fruits Basket Collector's Edition, Vol. 6 or Kiss of the Rose Princess, Vol. 4 - Kiss of the Rose Princess, Vol. 9. Both of those are romance-themed manga series. *Fruits Basket* has the twist that anytime one of the Sohma family members hugs someone of the opposite sex - other than family members - they turn into an animal of the Chinese Zodiac. *Rose Princess* has 4 handsome knights that help her in her battle/journey.
"Lucas", a humble hunk in this steamy, dramatic, and warming YA. Might have to re-read this week Lucas
I will be reading Her One and Only by Becky Wade and The Highly Sensitive Person in Love by Dr. Elaine Aron.
Edensbrooke & Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson, Me Before You by JoJo Moyes, The Selection Series by Kierra Cass, anything by Sarah M. Eden, A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (currently reading & SO GOOD), are some of my favorites. Let me know if you want anymore suggestions!
Lara wrote: "I'm reading The Flame and the Flower. The novel that started it all!"That is a good book!
I'm bingeing on Tessa Dare...Kindled 4 Castle books for the big snow tomorrow. All set for being snowed-in !
