message 138: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Price 4 and 2 are favorites. All of them are great! 4 kind of happened yesterday when i was on the phone with my cell phone company. I had given The Damned by Andrew Pyper by Andrew Pyper and The Intern's Handbook (John Lago Thriller #1) by Shane Kuhn by Shane Kuhn to one pf their employees to take home to his wife about two months ago and when I had to call the store, he said she read "The Damned" and loved it so I'm on a mission to find more awesome reads to share along. That felt so good!

My wish for somebody to say to me:

"I know you've been alone for years and haven't had anyone to share your stories with after you've finished them. I know that's made you so sad, but guess what?!, I woke up this morning after having a fantastic dream about books, then woke with this wish to grab some books, curl up on the couch with you and share the book love!! We could bake snacks, drink hot tea and have mom, daughter special reading days together!!, Wouldn't that be awesome?" :'D

That would be awesome......but that hope will have to be in the form of reading it in a book. :'|

So many awesome choices listed above! Thank you for the fun of this blog post.

message 139: by Shuling (new)

Shuling #3 is a definite must. And #2, now wouldn't that be nice.

message 140: by Kristoffer (new)

Kristoffer As many others would like, I too would like to be paid to read. The closest that I have come to that is listening to audiobooks while doing a mindless job. It felt like I was getting paid to listen to audiobooks while keeping my hands busy with mindless work. I miss that job.

message 141: by Tracy (new)

Tracy reading and chill

message 142: by Tracy (new)

Tracy I am so relieved I'm not alone

message 143: by Nikki Lane (new)

Nikki Lane I've spent most of my life without anyone to discuss my book obsession with. In fact, in my small Mississippi town I am sure I am the only person who reads more than a book a month! What I wouldn't do for someone to sit with and discuss all my fantasy romance books! Or someone to understand my obsession with forbidden love new adult romance novels! Actually, I'd just like someone within a hundred mile radius from me to even know what New Adult genre is. Lol.

Melissa Price Nikki wrote: "I've spent most of my life without anyone to discuss my book obsession with. In fact, in my small Mississippi town I am sure I am the only person who reads more than a book a month! What I wouldn't..."

OMG, Nikki, :'( I know. I just left a similar comment above. For me, I don't have anyone for books, movies, music, meals, walks, talks.....anything. It is SO unbearably painful. Whomever said you can't die of a broken heart has obviously never been in our shoes.

*Hugs & positive Book buddy thoughts being sent your way*

message 145: by Mahendra (new)

Mahendra I did #4 to a guy reading "shantaram" while standing in boarding queue at Paris airport :) .. He was damn amazed and we discussed many characters. It's like a pleasant surprise.

message 149: by Kim (new)

Kim Lets go to the library

message 150: by Kama (new)

Kama What I would like to hear is that the wannabies online including GR willstopprojecting their fantasies on ALL people in some group. Like ths shit of a post. I couldn't care less about getting ARC. Someone wants it good for them. But not for me. And thus ALL/Everybody becomes invalid.

I feel pity for those who wish to be asked "what books do you recommend"? I'm being asked this. Maybe change friends if yoy can't talk about books. Or start having some kind of specialisation.

Oh the naivety of the people that wish to be paid for reading a book. Especially on deadline. Working in bookstore isn'ta miracle either. Been there. Done that.

So, GR stop putting those shit types of posts.
