I love the updated one. Much cooler.

I really liked it. It's much better but still I can't see my or friends 2015 Reading Challenge books. I'll be happy if you add it. Anyway thanks a lot and wish you a wonderful day!

I really like it! Huge improvement! It opened! I used it for a while and then it wouldn't open! Right now it's better! I love the design! :)

I still miss the "Discussions" Tab. But other than that huge improvement!

I love the new look but there's a glitch. When I opened the menu it says that I have 1816 books shelved when I only have 600+.

I like the new looks but I still wish I could see more of people's profiles and maybe the Reading Challenge too.

Love the new look! Great improvement! The only thing that would make it better would be being able to see the Reading Challenge.

It looks much nicer than the old design! I would like it if I could see all Discussions like I can on the actual site but other than that, it's great!

You've made it worse by forcing Suggestions and Recommendations on us. Bad show Goodreads for sacrificing your Identity to Amazon.

I actually configure my homepage to avoid the FORCED Recommendations, Suggestions that are forced on me at every turn. Respect your users Goodreads.

It's coming through loud and clear - we want easy access to our Reading Challenges! Please include this feature in future updates.

Julia, I just discovered it when you mention it. You have to follow this steps for reading progress. Choose your "currently reading" book, scroll down and find "edit review" section and tap it. You'll find "Reading Progress - Update Status". There you go! My God I'm just get old. :D This is so annoying...

With the Android App, it's kind of a Russian Roulette as to whether it will open certain status updates or not. Reviews and such work fine, but 8/10 of the times when I want to open a status update, it says something went wrong. Has this been fixed as well? I've had it for years.

This is beautiful!

It's cool but it would be nice to see the publication dates of the books.

Definitely an improvement! Much more clean and modern looking. I would still love to see the reading challenge on there. Along with others, this is one of the main reasons I use Goodreads :)

The look is really pleasing and I like some of it - but finally the last update we were able to update challenges, can we still with this one? Not seeing how. It's like it was removed with this update.

Please add the Goodreads Reading Challenge - I haven't been able to download this app; does it offer anything for authors? I'd like to be able to see my author dashboard from my phone as well.

Love the update! The design is nice and sleek. Very direct and easy to use.

One improvement for the app that I would love to see would be an option to view the list of books in a series, from each book's info page. This way, when you're out shopping and want to pick up that next book in a series but can't recall the name - and they so rarely include that info on the book itself - it would be handy to pull that up quickly.

Hi Julia, at the top of the "My Books" section there should be an "Update your reading progress" that'll allow you to select and update from your currently reading shelf.

Redownloaded the app again, because the last version was just horrible. Now it's so much better, thank you for the update! :D Can finally carry GR around with me again.

Now if only, they could update the Kindle Paperwhite apps that would be awesome. (I really doubt it'll happen though.)

There is still a bug with the book count at the top but I think that has been mentioned.

This was a much needed update, thanks! Looks like a great start, but a couple of points if you don't mind:

+ Can you please make the main three tabs (Updates, My Books, Scan of the main view) swipeable? It's very unintuitive to have to click the tabs in Android.
+ Instead, maybe it should scroll to the top of the list when we click on the tabs (right now it works in "My Books" but not in "Updates").
+ I don't know why "Scan" should be so prominent when it could just be a button somewhere. Maybe your analytics show that people use it really often? I don't know. I'd love to see my reading progress list and the option to update it in a more discoverable place instead of it.
+ Rounded, shaded yellow buttons (taken directly from this website) visually clashes with the flat aesthetic of the rest of the app. It'd be great if they were updated too.
+ It's very unoptimized for tablets. Look at the drawer: http://i.imgur.com/3eRYA0e.png
+ Colored status bar for Lollipop please!

YES THANK YOU GOODREADS. WOW it's definitely a lot cleaner and more sophisticated than it used to be. (Despite still not being able to view Reading Challenges, but hey). You're still fantastic, Goodreads!

Great App! I've seen it today and I immediately appreciate the style and new graphic design. I haven't had so much time to see every feature, but I think it's undoubtedly a great work.

Just wanted to add my plea to please add the Reading Challenge! My I-Phone friends have it--why can't I get it as an Android user?

I cant seem to figure out how to update my books by entering what page I am on etc. Can someone help with this?

Go to My Books and tap on the "Update your reading progress" button. You'll be able to select which book you'd like to update, and you'll be taken to a page to update what page you're on.

Same issues as the Android app has had for ages.

Can't access the book's page from recommendations. Can only shelve it. Can only shelve it on To Read. Can't switch editions either.

That's about 80% of what I do on Goodreads and 99% of what I need to do on a mobile app.
