Meet Our Redesigned Android App!
Android app lovers – we heard you! We’ve just released a major update to our Android app’s design. The app now features an easy-to-use navigation that puts your favorite features at your fingertips, and a cleaner design to help you discover great books and share your reading with friends.
Now you can immediately discover new books your friends are reading, and still check your shelves on the go with just one tap. We’ve also included a fun new touch, a literary quote on the home screen while the app opens.
Download the updated app from the Google Play Store or Amazon App Store and tell us what you think!

It's coming through loud and clear - we want easy access to our Reading Challenges! Please include this feature in future updates.

Thanks for letting us know about the issue - we have a developer investigating!

I´ve got also much more books in menu, but it will be fixed for sure ;).

One improvement for the app that I would love to see would be an option to view the list of books in a series, from each book's info page. This way, when you're out shopping and want to pick up that next book in a series but can't recall the name - and they so rarely include that info on the book itself - it would be handy to pull that up quickly.

Hi Julia, at the top of the "My Books" section there should be an "Update your reading progress" that'll allow you to select and update from your currently reading shelf.

There is still a bug with the book count at the top but I think that has been mentioned.

I wasnt talking about that one. I was talking about to have one that looks like the one we have on the normal website. The Reading Progress bar.

+ Can you please make the main three tabs (Updates, My Books, Scan of the main view) swipeable? It's very unintuitive to have to click the tabs in Android.
+ Instead, maybe it should scroll to the top of the list when we click on the tabs (right now it works in "My Books" but not in "Updates").
+ I don't know why "Scan" should be so prominent when it could just be a button somewhere. Maybe your analytics show that people use it really often? I don't know. I'd love to see my reading progress list and the option to update it in a more discoverable place instead of it.
+ Rounded, shaded yellow buttons (taken directly from this website) visually clashes with the flat aesthetic of the rest of the app. It'd be great if they were updated too.
+ It's very unoptimized for tablets. Look at the drawer: http://i.imgur.com/3eRYA0e.png
+ Colored status bar for Lollipop please!
Thanks for the hard work.

Go to My Books and tap on the "Update your reading progress" button. You'll be able to select which book you'd like to update, and you'll be taken to a page to update what page you're on.

Can't access the book's page from recommendations. Can only shelve it. Can only shelve it on To Read. Can't switch editions either.
That's about 80% of what I do on Goodreads and 99% of what I need to do on a mobile app.
I love the updated one. Much cooler.
