American sherlock, American heiress, All-American murder, a true story of rape in America, American fire, American Kingpin, American predator. Seems like there’s a pattern here.

I loved American Predator: The Hunt for the Most Meticulous Serial Killer of the 21st Century. Very interesting but also very disturbing Story. I also enjoy thre books by Christopher Berry-Dee. For example the book: Talking with Serial Killers: The Most Evil People in the World Tell Their Own Stories. I have a lot more in my want to read list like "I'll be gone in the dark" or "Killer across the table" and i am so ready to read them!

IMO, Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI deserves a place on this list, though i haven't read them all.

Okay, besides I'll Be Gone in the Dark and Chase Darkness with me, someone recommend the next best two.
I would have added The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper to this list. I also agree about Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI.I enjoyed I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer, Lady Killers: Deadly Women Throughout History, and The Killer Across the Table: Unlocking the Secrets of Serial Killers and Predators with the FBI's Original Mindhunter as well.

ever since i listened to Serial's 1st season about Adnan Syed's case years ago, that was my introduction in listening to the true crime genre podcast. i should add Adnan's Story: The Search for Truth and Justice After Serial on my TBR list.

Okay, I guess it's too recently released, but this one is flying of the shelves and the publisher is now planning a second print run of the hardcover: "GIOVANNI'S RING - My Life Inside The Real Sopranos," by Giovanni Rocco. This is the FBI undercover who recently spent 3 years working his way into that N.J. crime family. (Full disclosure: I'm Giovanni's co-author.) Hoping to see it in the next version of this list!
I really liked American Kingpin and I'll be gone in the dark.
