Ah, Yes, I Remember It Well—48 New and Upcoming Memoirs

Posted by Cybil on March 1, 2021

Memoirs and autobiographies consistently deliver some of the most compelling reading on the virtual shelves. There’s something about the confessional nature of the memoir format that tends to bring out the best stories. Some are entertaining. Some are heartbreaking. And some are just, well, juicy.

This collection of 48 new and upcoming memoirs suggests the broad range of human experience. Nadia Owusu’s Aftershocks traces the author’s journey from Tanzania to America—via Italy, Ethiopia, and England. Michael Leviton’s To Be Honest recalls one man’s exceedingly strange upbringing in a kind of radical honesty cult. Then there’s filmmaker Oliver Stone’s Chasing the Light. You know he’s got some good stories…

Mischelle Smith My favorite genre! You can never go wrong when reading a memoir. Yup, even the bad ones.
Why?
Even a poorly written memoir can give you a peek inside someone's life. Just a glance, can open your mind up to lives that may be different from yours.
