Tiffany McDaniel's latest book, "Betty", is outstanding! You will surely enjoy this read. "Betty" is Tiffany McDaniel's second book; her debut book "The Summer that Melted Everything" is also excellent.
If you are looking for young adult indigenous reads, Eric Gansworth and Cynthialeitichsmith are some authors to check out

Here's a coming-of-age story of a Native American boy with great imagination, visions, folklore and memories of his grandpa. Sixteen And Change
The Only Good Indians was a book I loved for so many reasons - the writing is sublime, the eerie atmospere, social observations etc. I highly recommend it and will most def check out more on this list.
I just finished The High Divide by Lin Engeer and found it to be very satisfying. This is a first novel.

Five Little Indians by Michelle Good. What was interesting is that it was not about being in residential schools, but how the people coped after the schools.

"Braiding Sweet grass" by Robin Wall Kimmerer is an absolute must! I've bought it as gifts at least 4 times.
A recommendation, if you like apocalyptic specfic: Moon of the Crusted Snow. The author is Canadian (Wasauksing First Nation) and I hope he will publish another book soon...
