Lexi C. I am going to be reading "Legendary: by Stephanie Garber." This book isn't on the list and may not be counted as a romantic book. But, I feel that the underlying tones of love and heartbreak make it a suitable book for the occasion.

I read romance, but rarely. You said 'what else'? I prioritize thriller and action readings.

If you click on the article for Common Misconceptions in Romance they have a bunch listed in there under the misconception that the romance genre lacks diversity.

message 32: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Wilbert wrote: "so this is just straight romance?????"
No. Check out The Secret Lives of Romance Authors and Common Misconceptions, Debunked. I agree that there are a lot of straight romance books listed, but many of the articles feature gay romance as well.

Wilbert Bishop I know that there are LGBT books out there!!! Just saying the lists that are here are very light on them. I saw some on the list but not enough for this to be inclusive!!

message 35: by David (new)

David Seems like every week is romance week based on my homepage feed, lol. So many shirtless men, I often wonder if I'll have to explain myself to someone.

"No, I'm not choosing these books, the goodreads community just skews heavily female. No, I'm pretty sure packmaster is a werewolf thing, not an anal sex pun. Well...maybe it's both. Are we done here?"

message 36: by Ann (new)

Ann Siggers Something by Nora Roberts for sure! :)

Lauren Bishwajit wrote: "what else to do other than reading romantic books . Single life without someone sucks ."

There are some really great books about friendships you could read. On of my favorites is A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Housseini. The bond the women in this story form is as indispensable as any romantic relationship.

message 42: by Angie (new)

Angie Suárez Can someone recommend good queer romance books? I'm a bisexual woman a bit tired of heterosexual romance. I'd read anything: w/w m/m non-binary characters, trans characters. I don't care as long as it is queer and its good material.

It's apparently based on a true love story. Am looking for a similar intelligent read - any suggestions?

Mira After You by Jojo Moyes and maybe I'll start Five feet apart by Rachael Lippincott. Also, I started reading The Wrath & the Dawn
