I'm reading: A wizard of Earthsea (Ursula lee Guin)Crown of Midnight (Sarah j Mass)
Tamar (Mal Peet)
the Catcher in the Rye (JD Salinger)
I reread Shusterman’s Scythe after getting my high school history son, engineer husband, and surveyor cousin to read it and now the discourse and dialogue about all its social, ethical, and literary elements commences!!! I also read an ARC of a new Dragonriders of Pern book written by the originator’s daughter. Pretty good so now I have to go back and re-enjoy Dragonflight, DragonQuest and The White Dragon. I also read book 4 in Rachel Caine’s outstanding Great Library series and was thrilled to discover that she will be at a library near me in September. Go check out my reviews if you haven’t read any of those and love fantasy and dystopia that can really make you think!
I'm looking for people to review my new YA book Violet Blood. Have a read of the blurb and if anyone is interested let me :) Violet Blood

Considering no one has to pay to use this site and benefit from the information and community it offers, I think you can survive being exposed to the sponsored content that Goodreads needs to post in order to keep the site up and running.
Liz wrote: "Is there much difference between YA and Midgrade?"Yeah, a pretty big difference. YA is more for teens and twenty somethings, middlegrade is for kids 8 - 12. YA will have more mature topics usually than middlegrade.
Right now I'm reading King's Cage and hoping to get to War Storm quickly! (Though I am breaking it up by reading some Jeffery Deaver as well)
Hafza wrote: "Guys, I've just read One Of Us Is Lying and I absolutely loved it! can anyone please please PLEASE recommend another similar book. Something that's YA, has mystery and romance tastefully balanced. ..."I am reading it now based on your words here, woaaah gooooood!!

For YA week I'm reading Telesa - the Covenant Keeper, by Lani Wendt Young - a contemporary YA fantasy novel set in Samoa in the South Pacific.
I'm reading the lost king by me Eleanor M. Eckert a tale of a Angel and a King as they journey to the kingdom of Amberall.recommend for people who love Christian Fiction.
YA Week is literally every week. Come up with more diverse articles. hell give us a New Adult recommendation, since that genre's most popular are tragic. hire me or sth
I would have to say any Alex Deleware series by Jonathan Kellerman or one I just read the perfect day... I have found most of my books on www.bookbub.com they send a mailing list of really cheap and fee books every day... I have gotten over 1000 books in the past two years just from there alone!Chris
I just finished A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro, and even though I'm not a huge Sherlock Holmes fan, it was brilliant! I loved the idea of a female Sherlock, as well as the ways the two main characters played off each other. It gave me a book hangover, so I may be taking a little break from YA (but I'll be back :)).
If ACOTAR is YA, then I think the same can be said about the book I am reading Currently. So my recommendation is The Name Of The Wind. I am not quite half way through and I am completely hooked. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the series has to offer.
Yas wrote: "YA is where unimaginative lazy writing come to thrive."Then maybe you haven’t found the right YA book for you.
Try The Knife of Never Letting Go (I’ve found Patrick Ness to be a very creative writer) or the Pure trilogy. Personally, YA books are hit or miss with me, so I understand your sentiment.
I'm actually finishing up reading Darkest Minds Trilogy Alexandra Bracken Collection 3 Books Bundle this week. I'm about half way through In The Afterlight and plan to continue on with Through the Dark and The Darkest Legacy when I'm done.
I am currently reading A Court of Mist and Fury and I am enjoying it so so so freaking much! I love it already!
I am reading Stone Girl by Eleni Hale - set in the harsh environment of Australia's state run children's homes. It's pretty harrowing, but a great insight and a great read.
Nadia wrote: "I'm re-reading The Raven Cycle for the second time this year, and recommend everyone to do the same."It's so good. My favorite series I've read in recent years.
Every year we have a YA week. It's annoying already! I know it's a trending genre, but it's getting old. Every YA book is the same (love triangle, "big" romance going on, saving the world etc.) Think about something new.For example, I have never seen a historical fiction week. So many great books are from this genre (like Pillars of the Earth etc.)
Just think about it, guys!
Melliott wrote: "Loved the Dreamhunter books."Yeah, I know they are sadly underrated for such an original series with badass female characters and well researched history.
I'm reading The Rules of Survival, which is about child abuse. Currently I'm looking for other fiction titles about child abuse if anybody has any recommendations! I need books to compare to the one I wrote as I try to publish!
Alexandra wrote: "Paper butterflies by Lisa Heathfield *sobs*"I got that from the library 2 weeks ago I couldnt finish it soo gut wrenching.. you got tough guts girl!!!!
I highly recommend reading The Hate You Give and One of us is Lying 🔥. They're a couple of my favourite books of all time!

Thanks. I will take the first 10! :)
