Top 100 Mysteries & Thrillers on Goodreads
Culprits, spies, bad guys, and women with vendettas: There's something so very satisfying about spending your time with the criminal element. And by that, we mean following the clues and solving the capers when you sit down with a great mystery or thriller. Always in search of a great book, Goodreads recently set out to uncover your 100 most-loved thrillers and mysteries.
There are, of course, rules to this game. Namely, every one of these books has at least a 4.0 rating from the Goodreads community. That means it's a bit of a popularity contest; for example Gone Girl is represented with a 4.04 rating, but another girl—Girl on a Train—just misses the list at 3.89. Then there are the usual suspects you won't find on this list: The Maltese Falcon (3.92), Angels & Demons (3.87), and Strangers on a Train (3.81) among others. It may seem brutal, but the readers have spoken.
Of course, many of your favorite writers have stayed with a character for a while, so in the cases of serialized mysteries and thrillers, we picked the books that, again, are over 4.0 and have the largest number of ratings.
It's time to unveil the top 100 Mysteries & Thrillers on Goodreads, arranged in alphabetical order. How many have you read? Tell us in the comments.

62. What can I say — I love a good mystery!!!
flag
I have read 7 of these.. although several are series and i have read more then 1 book in the series. I do go through and add several of them to my "to read" list
I've read 36 (not counting all the sequels by Connelly, Grafton, Patterson, etc) and already have 12 on my TBR list.
21 - lots of them on my "want" list, though.
12 from this list, but if you count all the mystery titles i have read by the same author, over 50 (eg. All the Louise Penny, Sue Grafton, Janet Evanovich, Tony Hillerman books)
Only 15 on this list. But...I've read 24 of Sue Grafton's, most of James Patterson and Stephen King...
1 read. Sad number. A few on my to-read list. I've been picking up on this genre more. I'll be adding more future reads from this list.
From this list Read : The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and the The Shadow of the Wind.
Want to read :
* The other books of the Millennium ( the ones written by Stieg Larsson, the other author David Lagercrantz, still not convinced) and The Cemetery of Forgotten Books sagas.
* Agatha Christie
* Stephen King
* Jo Nesbø
* Liane Moriarty

Really ??? Good to know.
I read this book in Spanish , and the translation was amazingly well done.
I’ve only read one XD although this is one of my favourite genres - I guess I haven’t really got into adult books yet.
startest most - finished 21. my question is when are we getting a new Terry Hayes book? LOVED I am Pilgrim.
I don't think I've read a lot of mysteries recently, but I've had a few moments lately where I've thought perhaps I should start reading them again and maybe some are due for some re-reads. Perhaps some Agatha Christies that I read as a teenager. I've read 12 on the list and have a few that are on my want to read list. Burial Rights is probably the next one on Mount Toobie.

Thanks for the recommendations! I happen to like these authors too!
So, just 20 from this list. Several are on my TBR list, but I've found a few others that I'll have to add :) Ah, too many books, too little time.
