The Times they are achanging ...

Well, it is just over a week since my last post and what a week it has been. Lots of changes, the most major being - I have left Christine Anderson Publishing. My award winning novel 'Echoes' is no longer on Amazon and I await the rights to revert back to me asap. Once I have it in writing as promised yesterday I will get it back out into the world under my control and see how it fares.
The why's are not important, only that it feels right to leave and take back control of what is mine. 'Echoes' was my first book baby and the people who know me well, understand the feelings surrounding this book, born from grief, it was my way of coping following the death of my son Jac. It means everything to me and so I await the rights.
As for Freya's Child, still more problems with the cover as the artist left without finishing it and I was left waiting for weeks because e-mails had not got through to me - which we are investigating. Now though I am waiting for another talented artist whom I believe will create something wonderful and perfect for my second book.
The life of an author is NEVER straight forward it seems. I felt very low, considering giving up and going back into caring - a 'proper' job as many might say - not to my face of course!! I must admit to still feeling as if I might stop, writing is meant to be fun and bring joy, but the politics behind the scenes can be heartwrenchingly horrible and frustrating as I continue to wait for edits promised, I can't help but wonder why I am bothering - can you? Do all people go through these doubts in some way or another? I believe that I am at that point - no man's land. The healing workshops are coming along lovely, am I meant to stop and change direction??????

I GOT MY RIGHTS BACK! YIPPEE!!!!! My baby is now mine again. So new cover and lets get it back on amazon xxx
