Sherlock Holmes Authors Contribute to My Peculiar Family

Belanger Books is proud to announce our first Kickstarter campaign. This is a gothic horror anthology featuring some stories with a mystery edge and includes stories by Sherlock Holmes authors William Meikle and me, Derrick Belanger. This anthology is titled, My Peculiar Family, (Kickstarter link:https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...), and it is a really cool concept book.

Combining New York Times bestselling authors (Christopher Golden, Tracy Hickman), Amazon bestsellers (Rob Watts, William Meikle, Derrick Belanger, Bracken MacLeod), and Award winning authors (Kristi McDowell, Stacey Longo, James A. Moore), plus many more emerging talents, this anthology unites these authors, who have sold millions of books between them, to come together for a common cause. That cause is to provide seed money for Sci-Fi Saturday Night and Belanger Books. This will help launch the Sherlock Holmes publication side of Belanger Books where we have several upcoming anthologies including Beyond Watson and Tales of the Great Hiatus.

The Anthology



What makes this anthology so original? A woman by the name of Chyna Dale discovers in her attic a box of old tintype photos. Each picture features a mysterious portrait of a single person. Who are these people? What are their stories? What makes them so…peculiar? Each author had to answer these questions in their unique tale. All of the authors received one of Chyna Dale’s tintypes, a name for the photographed person, and the person’s occupation. Some of the stories are more on the horror side, some more paranormal, some science-fiction/fantasy, but all are linked together by Chyna Dale’s discovery. Sherlock Holmes Awards



There are two awards from me which I believe will be of interest to Sherlockians. The first is the Derrick Belanger Sherlock Holmes Award which includes signed paperback copies of both volumes of my Sir Arthur Conan Doyle horror anthology (A Study in Terror: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Revolutionary Stories of Fear and the Supernatural Volume 1 and A Study in Terror: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Revolutionary Stories of Fear and the Supernatural Volume 2) as well as an ebook created specifically for this anthology entitled Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Vanished Killer. Some of you might know a version of the story from the The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories Part I: 1881 to 1889. This ebook has a new introduction, is fully illustrated, and contains both the American and British versions of the story.
