How the world shifts

Life for me this last month has been a roller coaster ride of ups and downs and I've learned so much and continue to learn.

In-between Worlds is finished. I can neither add nor change anything now as it is sent out to two wonderful Beta readers to either love it or hate it! A lady in this country and a man in America. They will be acknowledged for their kindness.
Such a hard thing to do to see something that has grown from love and hours of frustration, excitement, joy, pain, exhaustion come into being and go out to another human being to be read. It is a difficult thing to trust another enough to allow them into my world. So much so, I just HAD to read through one more time and of course I added, took away, changed and molded the story a little more - THAT was inevitable!! This was my creation. This came from my head, my soul, my thoughts, my heart. Those who create will understand this feeling.
Life is like the wind. It shifts and changes. One moment it is a mere breeze, the next a hurricane is whistling through and everything that needs to happen whether it is good or bad, is occurring and life continues regardless.
Winds can whip away what you thought would remain forever, and it can bring you something you weren't expecting. I have had to release anything that wasn't working for me, to take back control of my life and my direction, it was inevitable. I had widened my focus and nothing was getting done, so I've shifted my gaze and refocused on what is truly important FOR ME. it is too easy to forget about yourself and your needs when constantly giving your kindness and care away. I have learned that to care and love others, I must first care and love myself. I will heal now that I am refocused and next will come my fourth novel, so watch this space!
