The Perfect Mortals Rerelease & Other Updates
Whats up, my friends? You keeping well? Glad to hear it! Ive got some new news and updates for you! If youve been keeping up with my Twitter and Facebook pages, you may be aware that The Perfect Mortals has finally been edited all the way through and will be published soon by Ravenswood Publishings fantasy imprint Mythos Press. This is a big achievement for me, as I prepare to head off to Winchester University to study the top rated Creative Writing bachelors degree course in the UK! I feel as though Ive ascended from one state of existence to another with this publishing deal. People like my mentor and friend, Ben Galley, are able to make the self-publishing and independent publishing markets their bitches and make some pretty fantastic sales without anyone else working with them, but Im afraid Im really not of the right speed to make it work for me. I want my stories to be read, and publishing with a publisher like Ravenswood is just what I need to do for that to happen.
While Im mentioning him, Id just like to give a shoutout to my close friend and one of my best teachers in writing and publishing, Ben Galley! If youve heard of me then youve certainly heard of him! In addition to his lucrative Emaneska series and the upcoming graphic novel adaptation, Bens set to self-publish his new Western-style fantasy novel Bloodrush, and hes funding it through Pubslush. It promises to be on par with or even greater than the Emaneska books! If you wanna give a little towards this epic piece of literary treasure being born, then click here! Give more and get goodies! Gooooodddddiiiiiieeeeessssss!!!
Anyhows, Ive signed a five year contract with Ravenswood to publish the entire Buan trilogy as theyre finished. The Perfect Mortals, which you all already know about and have (hopefully) had the experience of reading, will be rereleased through Amazon and other channels on the 30th of September, which makes it a perfect late birthday present for myself and my mother. It comes in pretty well with me starting university; helps to go with some credible experience, I suppose! Not only that, but Company of Heroes is now back in the production lot, being edited by my friend Lisanne Cooper, a very trusted editing associate of Ravenswood authors and others; were aiming to release it in the early days of 2015, so that nasty little cliffhanger I left you all on will finally be addressed, and my friend Sophies fingers may very well return to my throat when she reads the second book.
Just kidding, Sophie! Love you really...! Please dont kill me O-O;;
I-In other news, *cough*, Disciples of Blood is also progressing well. If all goes as planned, well be releasing that in the latter half of 2015, finally wrapping the trilogy up and putting a nice little bow on it! Ill admit it: Buan is a joy for me to write, and Ive loved writing it for the past six years, (including the three years that it was just one book,) but Im really looking forward to what I have to write next, set in the same world but with a very, very different story.
Furthermore, while Buan makes a little bit of headway in the literary world, my wheels are turning in other industries as well! My upcoming comedy webseries, Zoolaplex, has finally taken a step forward! Our efforts have not been wasted, and we have finished our first infomercial starring Ben Badorf and Kiba walker as Drake and Mike! Come take a listen here! And while youre at it, like our new Facebook page here! Were hoping to start producing real episodes soon enough, with an actual teaser of the debut episode coming soon!
