The Raven (The Florentine #1)- Sylvain Reynard

The Raven (The Florentine, #1)The Raven by Sylvain Reynard

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

You know you’ve read a BRILLIANT book when the moment you read the last sentence, you flip the pages around and begin reading the book once again.

What can I say about this book other than what I already said? It was bloody brilliant! Before I grabbed this book, I thought I was done with all the vampire stories that I could ever read. Little did I know Sylvain’s Vampyre story would bring a refreshing change. This one was exceptional!

And the writing style? I don’t think I can comment on the degree to which it was phenomenal. It is clever, clean, rich and emphatically impresses upon the reader where a character is speaking from. Every chapter has been left at a cliffhanger and I just couldn’t put it down. Not before i devoured the whole thing. After the success of Gabriel’s Inferno and the prequel, The Prince to The Florentine Series, this book had sky high expectations to fulfill. And fulfill them, it did.

I am thoroughly impressed and am restlessly waiting for the release of the second book in the series.
