I love your books! I can wait to see where will take it! I can imagine how you keep up with all the stories and character almost envy who will pick up the series completed later, it is hard to see it developing ... but It trust you :).

These books are amazing!!! Of course it's hard to see Mac so lost - being invisible is a great metaphor for her at this point. But, it's in these moments of loss and confusion that she always finds her strength. Can't wait to see the ride you take us on.
Keep going. I'm locked in tight, and ready to go!!
I loved Iced and Burned and that's what matters! I don't care what anyone else has to say about it! :P
Burned is amazing! I love Mac. She is fallible and that makes it easier for me to relate to her. I can not wait to see where you take the rest of the series. Dani/Jada - OMG! Poor Ryodan doesn't stand a chance. He is days of standing at the top of the stairs and nodding are sooooo over! He just doesn't know it yet! I have read the series two times already - including all the Highlander books, and I have every intention of reading the entire thing all over again. Thank you for this amazing escape into the the Highlands and Dublin without ever having to leave NYC. :D
I have LOVED this series so far. This may not have been my most favorite book in the series so far (you will have to produce some serious magic to take Shadowfever from my top spot) but it left me wanting more, I always want more, and isn't that what a great book does? I can't wait for Feverborn and to see where you take me next!
I loved Burned. Loved it so much I finished it in 5 hours, before noon the day it came out. I'll probably read it again soon, much like I've reread all of the Fever series, and honestly, every book you've written. And it's nice to know too that this is only the second act. I like knowing that if I put all of the books in your series together, we would only be in the first 15-25% still. So thank you
i'm not gonna lie and say burned was my fave and that i loved it more than iced, but i always respected your choices as a writer and i hated fans thinking they had the right to speak for you when none of us knew YOUR truth. thank you for clearing it up and keep on keepin' on!
Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you wrote this! I've always trusted your muse and you :) your books are utterly brilliant, I've never been so riveted and completely engrossed in a series' characters/setting/plot/everything! Seriously, it takes over my life whenever I decide to reread! (or just speculate with other Maniacs ;)I always knew you knew what you were doing, you're so fecking brilliant.
Seriously, thank you for writing these books!! I have no idea where I'd be without them.
And thank you for taking the time to write this :) it just shows how much you care! You're the best, KMM. I'll always be a loyal fan no matter what anyone else says :)
Thanks for addressing this. I'm really glad to see your side of things and it's good to know that you wrote the story you wanted to write. If you're reading this, please don't push back Feverborn! I can't wait any longer! :)
I'm so interested in reading what happens next. Just don't stop writing! LOL Can't wait for October.
I'm still holding out hope that Feverborn will focus more on Dani and Ryo. I just crave Dani's POV. This right here -> "But Jada is only a prelude to the real Mega." gives me hope that we'll have Dani our bae back soon. :'(
DAMN....my respect for you, already at an all time high, just shot through God's ass. I'll be the first to admit that I didn't and wouldn't read a book based solely on Dani, because I was enraptured with Mac and Barrons and Dani was of low interest to me. When I saw that BURNED brought us back to Mac and Barrons, I never once felt as though you did it for the readers, but that you had more of their story that needed to be told. I would have been happy if the next few books centered around Dani, as it is your prerogative to do so as you please, but my heart soared when I realized that was not to be the case. I support and love every decision you make, even if it's one I don't like. Thank you for this post, it just truly solidifies you as one of my all time favorite authors.
No matter how much I may like or dislike whatever happens in your books, I have tremendous respect for you as an author and for the stories you write -- they are always amazing and set my imagination off in ways no other author does! I would NOT want you to write any other way or any other story than the one inside your head. No other series prompts me to speculate and come up with ideas and theories for every minute detail! No other author has ever made me shout aloud at 1 am when the family was asleep because of a cliffhanger. No other series has led me to arrange regular meetings with wonderful people that are similarly obsessed just to talk about your books. As I typed somewhere else earlier today, I read a ton of books every year. It's like drinking my favourite drink or eating my favourite dessert as often as I want. But then a book by KMM comes along and I get a taste of ambrosia, and for a while I forget all other tastes cease to exist!
I'm so sorry you had to write this but I am happy you did to hopefully snub some of lies that have been floating around. I love each one of your books and you make me fall in love with each character even if they aren't my favorite in a book somehow you make me adore them, hell you still have me loving V'lane/Cruce and look who he turned out to be ;) Keep rocking it girl!
Ms. Moning, I have such respect for you. Your talent is amazing! Keep following your muse. I will keep reading!
You tell 'em Karen! I hate you had to take the time out to write this though. Hopefully people will get the hint in the future! True Moning Maniacs will never give up on you and are ready to ride this story to it's true end!
I have mixed feelings about this Karen. On one hand I'm angry and disheartened you had to take time away from your craft to address this stuff; on the other hand, I'm glad you addressed the detractors who find spreading rumors , and for lack of a better term- conspiracy theories- sport. Never mind the asshats. You rock sister!
My husband and I read these books together, each reading a chapter aloud. We buy them the day they are released. We try to only read a few chapters a night to make it last longer, but toward the end we tend to gobble it up! I feel that Burned was the best one yet. I even predicted to my husband that Dani was going in to fairy and coming out older, but never saw Jada coming! Karen you are our favorite author and we cannot wait until the next one comes out!!
Just wanted you to know that I fully support your vision for the Fever series. Thank you for not allowing these negative opinions to affect what you write. I trust your writing. I love that you take me to your magical world that is the Fever series. Looking forward to Feverborn!
I will AVIDLY go along with you on the Fever ride for as long as your bugfuck muse drags us all. Cause Ryodan and Barrons are on the same train! <3 My BURNED love runneth over.
Burned left me with a lot of questions (and some disappointments, I'll admit) but overall I still very much enjoyed it. Thanks for the awesome ride and can't wait to read more.
I liked Iced but missed Mac and Barrons. Then I read (and LOVED) Burned and missed Dani. Now I'm listening to Iced on audiobook and appreciate it SO MUCH MORE since I have Burned for context. You're a brilliant writer and I've trusted you through every book. I can't wait to see where you take us (and where they take us, because I know they're partly in control of themselves by now). Thank you for sharing your gift with us!!!
Wow, Karen, I love this. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this to all of us. I love you and love all of your books but was one of those people who felt like there was less Dani in Burned because of the stink that some people raised over Iced (I loved Iced). And to be honest, I think it tainted my reading of Burned as it was always in the back of my head. I think because I love your books and your spirit so much, I felt a bit protective over what I thought was a manipulation of your plan for the Fever world even though you had told us from the start that she would be aging quickly. But, now, I can take a deep breath and know that you are content and your stories are going where YOU want them to go and that makes me very very happy as a reader.
Now, I'm going to go back and re-read Burned with my new perspective on your writing and publishing practices.
Love you and thanks for continuing to write and connect with your readers.

they are the best books i have ever read and believe me i read a hell of a lot of books Borrows is the best ALPHA male ever and nothing can compare to the men in these books
I absolutely love every single one of your books- For someone to try to tell you how to write YOUR books is astoundingly arrogant.
Thank you for this post as an answer to my post from Facebook. I love, LOVE the entire Fever series and Iced and Burned. I hope I did not miscommunicate that on FB. I was frustrated with Mac, but I do trust you and where you are taking her, us, and the story. There is always a purpose for what you do, and when and where. And after reading this blog post from you, I believe that Mac will be back and I look forward to seeing the Mega in her complete mega glory again. High respect for you Karen Marie Moning. :)
I've read all your books (more than once!) and listened to a lot of them on audible as well. Just finished Iced (again!) on audible and will listen (again!) to Burned when I'm done with Iced. Oh how I wish there would be a TV series (Netflix??) based on the Fae books, maybe going all the way back to the Highlander books, since the McKelter's are a part of the Fae series....
It always amazes me when an author catches so much crap they have to explain a situation. Who are these readers that think they know better than the person to whom the characters speak? Its craziness! For better or worse the book turns out how it is seen in the eyes of it's creator. Why do people have to personally attack the author over a book. If you don't like it, write your review and be done with it.
Danielle wrote: "It always amazes me when an author catches so much crap they have to explain a situation. Who are these readers that think they know better than the person to whom the characters speak? Its crazine..."Preach!
Thank you for this post. Hopefully this puts a lot of the rumors and speculations to rest.I love your bitch muse, I hope she stays around for a long time!
I absolutely LOVE your bitch muse and wherever she is taking us, is perfectly fine with me. Your writing is so amazing, I can see it all vividly when I read, and reread, and reread, all of your books. My husband and I were fortunate enough to visit Ireland in November and so much of it was exactly as I'd read through the Fever series and I fell even deeper in love with the country, and with your books.
Love you Karen so much...write the books you want and as Dani would say FECK everyone else...bonnie
This is my all time favorite series. I believe that if I liked or agreed with everything in it that would not be true. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.
Karen,To be honest, when I first started to read ICED, I couldn't get into it because I was on a Mac and Barrons "high", if you would. But when Burned came out I decided to not want to miss anything in ICED so I started again and finished both ICED and BURNED in under two weeks. I loved the glimpses into the "Nine". I like how Mac isn't the "be all end all". It makes her more real and establishes Barrons' "love" of her.
I have turned so many people onto these books, and then we went and read all the Highlander's books and the hard to find, Into the Dreaming. I have to say my favorite of them all is Adam Black. Such a captivating and complex character. Would love to hear more about his daughter too.
Be true to yourself. I love that you write for yourself and share it with us. Sorry people are rumor mills.
Good luck in life after divorce. Live well and hurry up with the third in this trilogy! ;)

Finished Burned. Patience is always virtue in reading intense stories like Burned. Mac is back? Mac never left!! She just hit a snag, but kept going, proving her mettle and doing what as John Wayne would say "Courage is being afraid but saddling up anyway." This book shows growth in Mac and a maturity that manifests itself with turn of the page and scene unfolding. Beautiful, dark, powerful, not enough adjective to describe this series in general and KMM's writing in particular. Can't wait until the next arc in this exciting journey.
I love every book you've written. I believe in you and your muse. Thank goodness you listen to her. She's a bad b*&%h and I love her. If writing were easy everyone would do it. You rock Karen keep doing what you do.
XO
Diana
It's interesting to me that people are upset that Mac was in this book so much. She's got the evil book living inside her; how could she be through? That makes no sense. I think some people are just used to the romance formula so many writers use (successfully) where each "couple" gets a book or a series then it moves along. IME the best stories are never that simple. I thought the book was great overall and I can't wait for the next one.And honestly, even if someone doesn't like Mac in this book, there was LOR! He was so funny and awesome, he had to cancel out anything negative. Fake priya Lor cracked me up.
karen i loved this book!!!! i read the entire book in one night!!!!!! you are the best at what you do ive been hooked on your books from the highlanders to the feverbooks you are awesome!!!!! i knew it was was going to be a good read when i read your dedications to your cat who had passed away to your one for your dad. 10 pages later reading that sex scence with mac and jericho i went from weepy to a hot flash and wet panties!!!!! only you could do it!!!!! you keep writing i will keep reading!!! your my rock star!!!
I have read the whole fever series in just 10 days and I have to say l loved every one of those books and look forward to the next!
I have never loved a series like this one! You are a phenomenal author, and so happy you shared this with your fans.
What I love about the Fever series is that to really appreciate the characters and story, you have to be patient and look at it as whole. This is what I don't understand about folks who have made negative comments about Burned. Were you not paying attention in the first five books? Chill out folks and just enjoy the ride!! I love Iced and Burned because I understand that the story is building. Moning is one of my favorite authors because of how she has structured this series. My only issue is having the patience to wait for the next book!!
