11th -- Good morning, what a wonderful Wednesday morning, pink streaks through the sky, gorgeous --
I have a wonderful treat come next Wednesday -- going to Tennessee, to the mountains, for three days with my closest writer friends -- near Pigeon Forge, and of course, THE CHRISTMAS STORE, my favorite store on the planet. I'll have to check if it's likely to snow there -- I mean, a California girl wearing freaking boots? Well, they're pretty cool, and they haven't been worn at all this year, so maybe this one time I can strut around and look hot. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone -- it's been a couple of years at least -- Three days of non-stop talking and laughing, and yes, I'll admit it, eating lots of Mexican (see, I was an excellent influence on the group). All of us are writing different sorts of things and there's so much imagination at work, ideas flying around, so much talk about what's happening in the industry, who's moved where and why, who's good and who really sucks -- on and on -- never dull, I promise you.
