4th of February, Wednesday -- everyone watch the DEAR KITTEN THE BIG GAME video here or on YouTube -- it's really quite wonderful. There is the original on YouTube as well -- WATCH IT -- and grin and smile and laugh out loud.

Today is all sorts of gummy things (no, not the dentist) I'm thinking of writing activities that are sticky and make you slog and put your feet in drying cement (or concrete?) But needful stuff that has to be done, like signing 3,000 (try writing your name over and over until your fingers cramp) -- this is on all the tax statements from all the countries where my books are translated/sold. Now, you and I both know that no one does anything whatsoever with this crap, it comes into their bureaucracy and gets filed and forgotten and I'm the one with the crampy hand. All right, I'll stop whining, but do you know Portugal has a four page document that you have to sign THREE times in three different places? And I've only sold them one single book?

Cynthia Franks Not many writers talk about that side of writing. This is great! For such a small country you would think Portugal would not have such a complicated form. But then they have been around long enough to create a very complicated tax code.
