I just get so angry when I see people treating their reviewers badly. I've had to work so hard for everything that I've accomplished, and my readers and friends -- even the ones who didn't like my works -- have done everything, EVERYTHING, to support me.
And when I see people I consider friends, people I respect and admire for their hard work and their contribution to reviewing blogs and Goodreads, getting attacked by other authors, I feel sick inside. Because who the HELL do these people think they are, to treat anyone so badly? :(

I love you too! This site has gotten me through some pretty difficult times, and I don't like people making it unsafe and unfriendly. ;(

Amen! This sums up where so many authors go wrong.

I feel the same way. Why keep reading the people who don't care when there are so many authors who DO? That's why I'd pick John Scalzi over Orson Scott Card any day. :)

*hugs back* Thank you so much!

That's actually why I thank people for reading my books on their reviews (eventhoughitskindofunprofessional). When the author drama first started becoming prevalent, and a couple got banned from GR for attacking one-star reviews, someone said, "It's not like they go around thanking all their five-star reviewers."
Because why DON'T we? Five stars is pretty amazing. I wouldn't give myself five stars, so it's kind of special that someone would. :)
