I can only speak for myself, but I not only enjoy your writing, but I like YOU as well. You're fun to chat with, your comments are at turns funny and thoughtful. Your writing may make you an author but YOU make yourself a friend. That's why I like you, and I'm proud to count you as a friend. That's my two cents anyway, Pikachu. :)

I'm proud to count you as a friend, too, Loki! You may even be better than your Tom Hiddleston counterpart, and that says something. ;)

This really speaks to me in a lot of ways. Nenia, I know the feeling about not liking or hating your own writing--I'm the same, especially when you read published books and think "wow, i'll never write like that" or something to that effect. It's intimating and challenging. But the main fact that does make us authors are our readers. I think that's something that's often forgotten. Without our readers, where would we be?
I just totally agree with this blog post completely. I love coming here for the good company that reminds me that I'm not alone in reading and/or writing. This place is truly something special and its the people you know that make up such a wonderful community and fellowship/friendship and bond over whatever. It's amazing to think about to be honest. o:

I'd like to add that the reason I love you and your reviews so much is that you stayed true to yourself even after you started writing. So many authors, self-published or not give only five stars ratings and praise books because they're afraid people will alienate them because they wrote a negative review.
More than your reviews and amazing writing though, I like you for just being who you are: Funny, caring, open-minded... Beautiful inside and out.

I won't lie, it's been really difficult. I had to take some hiatuses at various points because of some tensions with various users on this site were making me feel so awful. And while I can see the point about the whole authors not reviewing argument, I also feel like it would be disingenuous for me to stop.
Authors
I think you are a beautiful person, too. Everything you said about me pretty much sums up how I feel about my friends and followers. There truly are some extraordinary people on this site and I really hope that I can meet them all in person one day. (Seriously -- I need to figure out how book conventions work and get myself a table.)

Awe. You are welcome for all the trashy historical smut. ;) LOL
Fluffy, I think I´ve said that somewhere else before, but when you write in this style about things you don´t like, I really really like to see what you can do when you write about things you like.C´mon, unicat, I dare you.
