2. If a slave was invited to sit on the couch with their masters it would grant them freedom.
3. On personal statues made for citizens, they would purposely leave flaws
I LOVE the Ascendance Trilogy and have been looking forward to this book ever since I finished the Shadow Throne, to get an ARC would be amazing!
(I follow you on facebook and twitter and have posted for this on my facebook and twitter)

Oh! I've been meaning to tell you this for a while. While entering a contest (the prize was money, not a lot, just enough to get me motivated), I used pictures of your book covers that I printed out. I TOTALLY forgot about copyright. I didn't will the contest, but I still feel a little guilty. I'm sorry. Will you forgive me?

Okay Melia, I didn't know #1 - that's worth five bonus entries to you. Congrats!

Hmm, I don't know. I wonder if your computer has the proper app for reading the pages? I'm sorry I can't be any help on this.

I'm honored you would use one of my books to try winning a contest, Anne. Thank you, and no worries! Yes, you can post here as an entry for the ARC.

Wow, that actually is really interesting and I have no idea where anyone would be able to find those facts. If you don't win with those I can't even imagine what facts are going to do it.

Oh thank you! I learned them from my Latin class this year and (like you) I thought they were super interesting! Came in handy too! :)

BTW I've read all the books in the Ascendance Trilogy and loved every single one of them, especially the False Prince.

Great! And I'm just telling the truth.

1.- Since there were no perfume sprayers, slaves had to fill their mouth with perfume and then spit it out gently on their master.
2.- To show how rich they were, emperors would vomit in order to keep eating, so they would go to the Vomitorium.
3.- Julius Caesar most beloved pet was a giraffe.
4.- Last one, the secret to keep their togas so white was to wash them with the ammonia from their urine. Quite gross but we can't deny that they looked fabulous!
It would be awesome to read this book, can't wait for it!
