another cover link

A Russian fan downlist supplied this cover scan link:

http://lib.aldebaran.ru/books/budzhol...

It looks vaguely like the Caza French cover we were talking about a bit ago, except done in a more realistic style. The rest of the Russian covers are quite interesting, too, ranging from recognizable scenes and characters from the books through to recycled stock art. If anyone has more cover art links, feel free to post them in the comments.

It seems to be more of a tote. (Down by Cordelia's left boot, if you overlooked it.) Possibly that is the Russian style for such things...

Lois Bujold Ah, here's a collection of other Russian Bujold covers, offered by a fan on the Facebook mirror site:

Second from the right, bottom row, is an example of "recycling", as that artwork was originally for C. J. Cherryh's _Rimrunners_.

Joanna Chaplin Isn't that a bit spoilerific?

Nancy Now that is nicely done. The people look realistic and are shown in appropriate postures rather than stiff poses. That is a Cordelia worthy of her story.

Eleanor With Cats I'd beware of anyone that carries around decapitated heads.

They bought them from red heads.

Jose On the following link you can find my collection of bujold's book covers from all over the world:

It's always under construction...

Jane But, if that is supposed to be Bothari, he's nowhere near looking like a borzoi. I do like the individual as a generic Barrayaran.

I want to know what each book is! Anyway, Bottom left looks uncannily like (but not identical to) this book Midshipman's Hope (Seafort Saga, #1) by David Feintuch

They seem to have removed his anchors and changed the color of his eyes.

Thanks Jose. That is a great collection. It is fascinating to see all of the different interpretations side by side.

renmus1510 Hmmm, does anyone else see the resemblance of Vordarian to Rasputin in that Russian cover?
