I’m really excited to share these excerpts with everyone. Writing a book is like giving birth, and I’m always so nervous when new people read something I’ve written. There’s always been this immense need to please everyone when I write, which is impossible to do. I learned that lesson with my debut novel. So now, I concentrate on writing for myself, books that I know I would pick up at the book store, and just hope there are many other bookworms out there who enjoy reading the same kinds of stories I do
