I received this book as an ARC for an honest review and I won't spoil anything. I LOVED IT!!!! It was fun, sweet and as Niecey put it some steamy rip your clothes of moments. Imogen "Gen" Gorecki has some major problems like an ex scumb bag boyfriend, a crazy bridezilla twin and a hormonal pregnant sister. That's enough to drive anyone crazy. After what she went through with her ex who would want to try to love again. Then Matt Sesnick comes in to her life in a most embarrassing way (face plant ...more

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Another Shot at Love is a laugh out loud romantic comedy, so I advise taking your surroundings into consideration before you start reading, unless you enjoy making a spectacle of yourself. By the end of the book when Gen finally makes it to the engagement party, I was laughing so hard I could barely read. From the way Gen meets Matt to the riotous engagement party, there is never a dull moment.

3.5 Crotch to the face stars!

Imogen “Gen” Gorecki can’t seem to figure out this whole dating/relationship deal. When she goes from taken to single after her dick of boyfriend bangs his ex she finds herself being forced to partner up so she isn’t going stag for her twin’s engagement party.

Dud after dud, Gen is about to give up completely when she comes face to um... not face with Matt. When he overhears her being dumped over a plate of bad Italian food, he can’t help himself. But Matt isn’t inter

A romantic comedy?!? What?! I swear it feels like forever since I have read a really great Rom/Com and Niecey Roy's "Another Shot At Love" is definitely one of the great ones! I found myself laughing so hard that my family thought I had lost it a bit. A perfect book to cure any book hangover, "Another Shot At Love" is the complete package. Silly and entertaining characters, hilarious situations, quirky family dynamics and one seriously hot knight in shining armor!

5 LOL Funny Stars!

I don't leave spoilers in my reviews but I will say that this book had it all...lots of laughs and outrageous moments, heartwarming family connections, love & lust, some sexy time between the sheets & more! Oh and I love Matt and all his deliciousness!

My favorite character may have been Richard! Unfortunately I can relate...I was called 'weiner magnet' for a period of my life in my 20's for a reason!

This is a must read if you are looking for an upbeat romantic comedy b
Reading this was like watching a chick flick, a cheesy rom-com at that. It's one of those love it or hate it kind of books. So, if anyone's looking for a light and fluffy read - a little bit too much fluff, IMO - this one's for you.

This book was a laugh out loud, pee your pants kind of funny.
With a meddling family, an oblivious ex-boyfriend, a hopelessly geeky co-worker/blind date, and a crazy best friend how could it be anything less.
Artsy, recently scorned and single Imogen (Gen) is to be the Maid of Honor in her twin sisters wedding along side her cheating bastard of an ex-boyfriend, Brent, as the best man. Her family has decided that she needs a date for the engagement party to make sure that she won't go back to Bre

I was fortunate to receive an ARC copy of this book. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Fender Bender Blues by Niecey Roy, so I was thrilled to be able to read and write a review. There is some seriously cute and funny stuff in this book. Bridezilla sister, hormonal crazy pregnant sister, match making, crazy ex-boyfriends, stripper Barbie and cupcakes. I don't like to write spoilers in my reviews, so I will leave the rest of the story for you to read.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a f

I received this copy from the author Niecey Roy for an honest review and so I shall deliver!

The book opens up with Gen tossing out the remainder of clothes, left by Brent, her cheating (ex)boyfriend of two years, down onto the snowy ground below. She then closes the door on the empty apartment and what was once a happy home with marriage and kids in the future...UNTIL....she came home one night and caught Brent screwing "Stripper Barbie". I laughed my ass off at the name, even though m

A good appetizer to commence a series. Niecey Roy whips up all the known romance tricks up her sleeves to make for delightful reading.

So Imogen Mae Gorecki is in her early twenties, done with love after her sorry trust-fund SOB ex cheated on her with a slut in possession of a boob-size fit for skanks. Gen's been solo for months now, her sister's wedding is coming up, and the family is worried she's going to go back to her ex since, it turns out, he will be best man to her sister's groom. Now

5 out of 5 stars!!!

Imogen also known as Gen is one of my all time favorite characters I have read in quite a while. Gen is not your typical girl; she is an artist and has some serious heart and good upbringing behind her. She is the girl with her natural blonde hair but wants to throw a little hot pink or blue in there. She is a twin and she is crap at relationships. Can’t find a man who will treat her right and not make a fool out of h

Imogen walked in on her man in bed with his ex. It’s taken her a couple of months to get over it. Now her sister is marrying his best friend and says she needs a date for all of the wedding things. Plus, she and douchebag ex are both in the bridal party. So, she tries to date.
But… she lets her sisters set her up with an increasingly awful list of men. Until when one is dumping her on their second date in the middle of a restaurant, nice guy Matt comes to sit at her table and laugh with her about
I think that I should warn readers about this book. I laughed so hard and often, I had to stop reading in the lunch room at work. I embarrassed myself, but that's OK. Talk about reading for therapy. ^_^
Gen is such a crack up, but she really does it deadpan. She has her share of instigators too: Gen's twin sister Lexie, their long time friend Roxanna & even Richard (nerdy nerd from Gen's work). I was almost going to yell at my kindle- to tell Gen to get away from Richard already. I don't want

"I wasn’t searching for Mr. Perfect anymore – what I wanted was normal. Plain and simple."

Imogen (aka Gen) caught Brent, her boyfriend of 2 years, cheating on her in their bed in a very porn-worthy position with his ex "stripper barbie" on New Years Eve. After her sisters’ attempts at finding her love and a date to the upcoming wedding, the blind dates have just hit the all time low. Getting “dumped” in a crap Itali

This book is a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy, with a sarcastic, blunt, and recently burnt-by-love main character Imogen (Gen). But who wouldn't be pissed about walking in on their boyfriend of over two years, "banging" his slutty ex. I would be right there with Gen, throwing all of his stuff out the window and then leaving and not looking back. Gen's sisters proceed to set her up on one bad blind date after another, believing that she needs to move on from her ass of an ex. This just leads to mo ...more

If you're looking for romance, comedy and a little drama then stop what you're doing and read this book!!

This book is about Imogen "Gen" Gorecki who just got out of a relationship with her cheating boyfriend Brent. Gen tries to move on but is having a hard time because her twin sister Lexie is marrying Brent's best friend Jeremy. Gen's meddling family members swear she is still in love with Brent and insist on setting her up on various dates. I for one could not stop laughing at Gen's date with

This book was everything I wish other NA was. It was hilarious, romantic and dealt with realistic situations. Gen was so awesome I could see myself hanging out with her in a bar and Matt was so swoontastic I'd face plant in his crotch too. Kidding, maybe.

The secondary characters actually rounded out the story and gave it extra dimensions that a lot of NA just doesn't possess. It was character and plot driven but the sexiness did not lack for it. It had plenty of sexy. This story will have you sn

I have to say, this book gave me the warm fuzzies! I love stories that are sexy, flirty, and a whole lot of fun, and Another Shot At Love was all three. Imogen and Matt were perfect leading characters; the kind that you can really root for. My favorite part of the book was Imogen's crazy family, because let's face it, we all have a little crazy in our family (sorry, Mom). It's been a while since I've read a book that was laugh out loud funny, and I found myself cracking up on several occasions. ...more

This book gives you pretty much exactly what you would expect from reading the synopsis. It is cute, funny, has the normal obstacles that crop up in the dating world and it a quick, entertaining read with a splattering of sex.

For me personally it could have used a few more of the laugh out loud funny moments that you have near the beginning of the story and I felt that I wanted Gen to keep up with high level snark we got in the first few pages but with that being said contemporary romance fans w

Premise of the story had potential, but dragged way too long on topics that didn't really need to be dragged out - thus leaving us with very little interaction with our H and h.

I wish there was more Matt & Gen and less Roxi, Lexi, Catherine, Tony, Richard, Brent, Jeremy, cheating ex-lovers, etc. I felt like it took away the focus of Gen & Matt's love story and got repetitive quickly.
