Working on my Online Store

I’ve been debating the easiest and most secure way to create a webstore for my products and books. Something that allows me to put the paid stuff with the free stuff, the downloads with the shipping products, and at the same time allow you, the shoppers, to find what they are looking for.

Yesterday I tried a store plugin that allows easy downloads of digital products, but it lacked a place for tangible items. I also hated the whole layout and need for so many other pages. Not to mention that while it worked well for the one person that used it, it’s a headache on my end. I will be keeping it on the off chance I can’t find anything I like. (And yes, I know. I’m too picky and should create it myself. Not that coding strong. LOL)

ecommerce

Today I downloaded a different plugin that I’ve heard so much about. I dismissed it at first because the backend was so complicated, though less so then another one I was going to try first. That backend was monstrous and confusing and they said you didn’t need to be a computer geek to use. Well apparently if you are a computer geek like me, it’s impossible to understand. :D

I went with a more complicated yet simpler one. Hopefully I won’t have to recreate new pages just so you can download things. Otherwise I might have to migrate this website to an ecommerce type website so I can just start over and have the store the way I want it. I’ve always been partial to ZenCart. But what a pain in the ass that would be. Anyone know of some good, reliable, hopefully simple WordPress  Plugins I can use so I don’t have to wander away from WordPress, which I love using BTW?
