I am guessing that, with a blog, you do not have to restrict yourself to events that happen on the day of the entry. A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the home of Captain Eric "Winkle" Brown, RN (Retired) to participate in an interview with him. It was absolutely fascinating. Captain Brown is the most experienced test pilot in the world, with hundreds of types of aircraft in his log book. And at the age of 93 he still has a razor-sharp mind. So, the session, and the lunch that followed, counted as one of the most significant events of my life.
I have been fortunate enough to meet a number of famous aviation figures, but this meeting has to have been the greatest of these.
