No-news-day link roundup

I shall, as I have idle moments from time to time, attempt to replicate the recent links posted in my former MySpace blog now lost to entropy. Today: the shortcuts to my assorted e-book markets.

B&N dot com:

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/lois-...

iTunes/iPad (this one also includes audiobooks):

https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/lo...

Amazon US:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_...

Amazon UK:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_s...

iTunes, for some reason, seems to be especially hard to search.

Coming soon to Amazon UK, at long last; the first two Chalion e-books, which are in process even as I type -- we were just working on the e-cover for The Curse of Chalion today. Paladin of Souls is next in the queue.

(Readers for all the other country Amazons, proliferating out there in a fascinating manner, are left to their own devices in their own languages for now, sorry.)

Lois Bujold Wow, cool, thanks!

This new distribution e-reach is really amazing.

renmus1510 There's also kobo for the Canadians and non BN buyers:

Here's an independent that stocks some of your books (non Baen it appears):

Lois Bujold Ah, yes. Those would be my HarperCollins titles -- HC has been very good about getting them out there.

Baen, an early adopter, fell behind the e-curve in late years, and is now playing catch-up. So far they've only managed to get their titles out on Amazon, admittedly the largest vendor.

I've only been able to get my direct-placement backlist e-titles up on Amazon, Nook, and iPad, so far. (The reasons for the delay involve business, not technical issues.)

Patty My blog article which uses your recommend reading order contains the links to each of the audio versions of those stories listed:

http://everydayfangirl.wordpress.com/...

I also posted about Sidelines, which contains all the links to each version of the story that I could find at the time.

Hope this helps!

Your fan,

Yes, indeed, that sort of thing does work! I pick up a lot of my reading recs these days from randomly encountered internet reviews. I can only assume other readers do, too.

Vendor-site reviews are also important, but are only seen by folks there already, and do hit diminishing returns after the first few dozen. Reviews out on people's personal blogs and sites cast a wider net.

Sidelines is an especially interesting experiment, since all it has to promote it is internet buzz. (Well, whispers, so far.)

Ta and thanks, L.

Patty No matter where my husband and I go either in the "real" word or online we always recommend your books, especially the Vokosigan Saga. Glad to be of help to you in spreading the word!

Micki Last week, I was shocked when MySpace wouldn't let me in without clicking on some weird browser update -- thank goodness for the Mailing List. I found you over here. I hope you enjoy your new home at Goodreads. (-: And since Elizabeth already provided a Japanese link, I'll just wish you the best! (Kind of glad I don't have to deal with MySpace anymore . . . .)
