You did a good job of explaining the pros and cons, Sarah! But, just so you know, even though I'm not self-published, I'm not still not making tons of money!!!

I know a lot to people who are thinking about self-publishing and I wanted them to know the good and the bad before they jumped into it.
Thanks for writing that Sar. Yeah, I'm hoping to self publish but that list gave me some things to keep an eye on that I hadn't thought of before. Especially the people that think self-published books aren't worth reading. I hadn't thought of it that way but I'm sure there are people that feel that way. It's nice to be able to be prepared for that viewpoint now.At the same time, you could say the same about books published by well known companies. There are books out there on the shelves at borders and barnes and nobles that aren't worth the time either. So, in the end, either route still doesn't always produce good books all the time. :) Just a thought. (I would mention a well known book series as an example here but I don't feel like opening the floor for an argument.) :D
But thank you for the list. I now know some other things to be more aware of when I go to publish. :D
