Another Submission, Another Success: Candle Room Taken by Alien Buddha

The non local holy-man is not a harsh taskmaster, at least not for me (see May 12, 1, et al). Or maybe it’s just that he likes my stuff. After all, I like it.

And he’s often rather quick to say so.

Or, yes, I saw the call, actually a kind of poster on Facebook, on Monday, June 16, just two days ago. FICTION (Max 5000 words) . . . Gothic horror romance . . . Paranormal/dark horror romance . . . Romcoms . . . Fantasy/adventure love stories. . . . One gets the idea. So on Tuesday I answered: Attached is an approximately 4900-word submission, The Candle Room,” for THE ALIEN BUDDHA LOVES YOU TOO, about candle magic and a journey to an other-dimensional Saturn to rescue one’s love. It is a reprint, originally published in TERMINAL FRIGHT, Summer 1995, as is also noted at the end of the MS. I hope you will be able to use it and, either way, will look forward to your report.

So on Wednesday, June 18 — today, as I write this — the Buddha, or rather his acolyte, “Red,” replied: Thank you for your submission. . . . I would be happy to include your story in the anthology! . . . There will be a preview to see sometime before it goes live.
