I have listened to these and enjoyed them. As a long time follower of Bujold, I didn't learn much that was completely new to me, but I was reminded of some things and saw some issues from slightly different angles. It was interesting to hear Lois talking with such young folks. As someone who is just a few years younger than Lois is, I feel that I grew up in much the same culture, especially since I also have middle US roots. I could see that the young folks (young to me at any rate) didn't understand some of the cultural background or the background of the literature of the time when Lois started to write. I hope that they were really listening and learned a lot. And I hope they give The World of the Five Gods a try. I keep pushing Penric on friends. (One of my favorite recent quotes is something like "But if you had to throw your daughter into the ocean to save your ship and the rest of the crew/passengers, you would jump in after her." It sums Penric up very well, he is just so very NICE. And our world needs niceness.)Many thanks to them for setting up the interview and to Lois for being interviewed. And in addition to the rest of the enjoyment, it was fun to hear your voice, Lois! Not the first chance I have had, but still a joy.
