Dealing With Dragons play in MPLS in January
My friend Pat Wrede informs me:
"The Phoenix Theater in Minneapolis is doing a production of Dealing with Dragons! Tickets at

--you currently have to scroll right a ways, because the play runs January 17-Feb 2, and tickets are general admission for $22 for adults, cheaper for kids."
Anyone who plans to be in Minneapolis in late January, take note! It looks like it's going to be great fun.
If you've not yet read The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede, give yourself a treat, in any location at any time. It's a 4-volume series, starting with the above mentioned Dealing with Dragons.

I would love to see this, but as was said in a previous comment, I live too far away to make it practical. I very much second the recommendation, I love this set of book, and am lucky enough to actually own a signed first edition paperback of the first book (before it was edited to make it fit, and it became the last book! If this doesn't make sense, check the publication history.) There are fun full cast audiobook versions available also.
I would love to see this. If it ever starts touring, and reaches Australia, I’m in! :-)Btw, do you know if Ms Wrede is thinking of writing a sequel to The Dark Lord’s Daughter, or if that was meant as a standalone novel?

A second volume is in progress, much interrupted. No word on when it will be finished and published, but Pat has a blog here:
