Minimizing my Social Media: Getting Rid of the Dead Weight of Inactivity by Angel M.B. Chadwick

Over the last eight to nine years, I've been permanently deleting my social media accounts, particularly if I'm very rarely active on them or they become more beneficial to others rather than to me.

Such as in the case of my Facebook account (which I deleted a few years ago) where I was promoting myself as well as other authors. It seemed to benefit them more than me. And besides, I was forcing myself to be active on it when most of the time I wasn't. I had a Facebook account for seven years. And for the whole of that time I wanted to delete it. Finally I did.
I deleted my Twitter account about six or seven years ago. It was a waste of time. Enough said. I just recently deleted my Pinterest account. I had it for about a decade. Was rarely active on it the last two years. I still have Goodreads and Wattpad to name a couple. But its a lot more organized and I feel the weight lifted off my shoulders. Now the new direction I'm aiming to take in my creative endeavors is more fluid.
