It's being officially marketed as a middle-school book, which means it will likely be found in most bricks-and-mortar bookstores in the kids' section rather than the regular F&SF section. For online booksellers (and readers), this division matters less.
I have my Kindle edition pre-ordered. I saw so many iterations of this in early drafts, as Pat wrestled with her material that wrestled back, much interrupted by life stuff, it will be fun to see how the final edits came out.
Cover's a hoot, very apropos.

Yay! I wondered when her next book might be out earlier this week. Someone on Facebook that asked about which authors do you have the most books?

Many thanks for the heads up, Wrede is one of my favorite authors. I even have a signed first edition of Talking To Dragons, and consider her efforts to write the back story that would/could have lead to that amazing book to be a marvel of imagination. I look forward to entering another fun world that she has created.This will help me wait for a (hopefully) new adventure for Penric and Desdemona some day, if you are inspired.
Off to pre-order the ebook! Thanks for the advance notice. I just finished a re-re-read of her *Thirteenth Child* trilogy. Love that one!
