'The Will of the Many' releases today!

Hey everyone,

It's finally here! Feels a little surreal after being in the works for so long, but The Will of the Many launches today, May 23rd. I'm incredibly excited for everyone to read it.

First off, to anyone who's already pre-ordered or is intending to pick it up shortly, thank you - sincerely - early sales are a big deal, and I can't overstate how much I appreciate the trust you're placing in me as an author.

Secondly, for those interested, I had a couple of spoiler-free chats about The Will of the Many, Licanius, and writing in general last week. Links to the YouTube videos below!

Fantology

And if you've been waiting on more reviews for The Will of the Many, there's now a reasonable sample size up here on Goodreads - and no doubt plenty more to come in over the next few days.

Finally, some requisite links if you'd like to pick up a copy:

Amazon
B & N
Audible

(Though naturally, if you have the opportunity to pick it up at your local bookstore instead, please support them by doing so!)

Before I go, a quick update on the sequel - my second draft of The Strength of the Few is at about 90k words (which is a bit over 1/3rd complete), and it's shaping up nicely. I'm confident that it's on track for publication in 2024.

And that's about it from me! As always, thanks so much for reading. I hope to see you all enjoying The Will of the Many very soon!

All my best,

- James

Patryk Nejmanowski Was the new series sold to the same Polish publisher as Licanius?

It's early days, so no translation rights news as of yet... I'm sure there will be at some point relatively soon though. I'll make sure to post about it when it happens!

Patryk Nejmanowski Thank You for replying to my question. :))

The translation release date will influence which language version I'm likely to go for. I read Licanius in English but the Polish version released after I already read all books had many extra illustrations so I felt like I missed out, but didn't want to buy them again.

That's fair! All I can tell you about the timeline at this point is that while I expect they will happen, I haven't heard anything about any foreign rights deals yet (Polish or otherwise). And only after a deal has been made will the translation work start, which (depending on circumstances and publisher) can take several months. So I probably wouldn't expect to see any translations out before the end of this year. Still, I completely understand waiting, if that ends up being your preferred version... I know it's not much, but hope this info helps you make the call either way!

Patryk Nejmanowski Thank You for taking the time and replying.

I was just hoping that Licanius was enough of a hit for Fabryka Słów that they already secured the rights to Hierarchy and were just waiting for official release to start translating.

Either way can't wait to read The Will of the Many. Reviews of the ARC are stellar.
