Quick and Easy Playing Card Holder for Small Hands

Children always seem to want to do the things adults do, but their little hands won't always cooperate.  This fast and easy project lets them play cards with the family without showing their hand to everyone else.  All it takes is some craft supplies, two plastic container lids and a little bit of hot glue.  This project can be completed in as little as 5 minutes or, if you'd like to stretch it into craft time, it will last as long as your child takes to make it a personal masterpiece!

Start with two lids, similar in size.  Put a dime-sized splotch of hot glue in the center top (printed side) of one lid and press the two lids together, printed sides together.

Decorate as desired.  You may use paints, markers, stickers, spray paints for plastics, rub-ons, stamps, Mod Podge, or any other art supplies that you already have on hand.

The playing cards slip easily between the two lids and fan out nicely.  If your little one is still showing off his hand to other players, simply teach him to hold the disc closer to his chest.  Good Luck!  Have Fun!
