I think UNWIND should be required reading in middle schools and state legislatures.

Because better we should try to own women's bodies than deal with subjects like taxation and regulation that would make our corporate greedhead over-rich masters mad at us.
Or that could just be me.

Abortion is murder. I'm sad that one of my favorite authors is "pro-choice."

My being pro-choice means that everyone gets to follow her own beliefs. In this case, we are all held responsible for this choice, and must choose what we can live with.

(Also, if we're really going to get into that side of things, there is the major point that there are enough actual unwanted children in the world who need homes without creating more. The majority of anti-choice people I know don't support children after birth nearly as much as they ought if being ethically consistent, and that's not only sad but reprehensible.)

Since it's plain we won't agree, would you please let this go?

I like the idea of making Unwind required reading."
This would make me very happy, actually.

This is so true.

What I can't understand or wrap my head around, is why ANY woman regardless of whether they agree with the PERSONAL choice to have an abortion, would be okay with the government having control over what they do with their body. its so very archaic.
Ill tell you right now if men could get pregnant this would be a non-issue.

That's fine, as long as you don't hurt somebody else. The problem is that abortion kills another human being. Contrary to popular belief, pro-lifers don't care what you do with your own body. We only start protesting when you want to hurt other human beings (ie, abortion). When a woman is pregnant, the baby is not a part of her body, but a separate human being residing in her womb.
"Not to mention that those same people who hold ova so sacred are also in favor of the death penalty"
You might want to brush up on your biology. An ovum is a haploid gamete. A new human being does not come into existence until after fertilization, as a zygote (not an egg).
By the way, I'm a pro-lifer who opposes the death penalty.
"I understand, but they're still human and deserve a life as much as you or I do."
Very true.
