61. Theory Of Karma
There are three forms of karma, one is prarabhdha karma which is already acted out whether in this life or past life, which means teer kamaan se nikal gaya hai (the arrow has left the bow). These karma’s are already acted out by you so you will have to face the consequences of both good and bad prarabhdha karma, though the impact of it can reduce through your sadhna/ meditation and god’s grace provided you learn your spiritual lessons but the fact is that you cannot escape prarabhdha karma completely. Then comes your sanchit karma which is still in the emotion and thought form, at thinking and emotional level, not still acted out, which means teer kamaan mein hai par abhi chala nahi hai (the arrow is still in the bow, has not left the bow yet). This sanchit karma can be changed or released as both good and bad thoughts and emotions can be changed or released. Then comes kriyaman karma which are all the psychic impression s stored in your subconscious and unconscious mind, which has not yet taken a form of a thought or emotion, which means abhi teer kamaan mein aaya hi nahi hai (the arrow is not yet formed /made so not in the bow yet). These psychic impressions stored in your subconscious and unconscious mind can also be changed or dissolved through your sadhna/meditation and by consciously releasing the psychic impressions from your subconscious mind. These impressions (good and bad) stored in your subconscious when triggered or activated will eventually take a form of thought & emotion (good and bad) and thought & emotion will eventually turn into action (good and bad). Once acted out, you will have to face the consequences of it whether good or bad, either in this life or next life which then becomes your prarabhdha karma.
One more important thing to note is that no amount of good karma can cancel or dissolve the impact and consequences of bad karma. Both will have different consequences. For example if you do lot of humanitarian work, charity, etc, it does not mean it will cancel out the act of murder which you did consciously or unconsciously. You will still face consequences of both good and bad karma separately. The only way to get rid of your bad sanchit and kriyaman karma is by learning your spiritual lessons and through release and purification sadhna/ meditation and definitely through grace of god. And this grace you will receive only when you truly deserve it by doing your sadhna/meditation, seva/selfless work, good karma/good actions, and by having bhakti/devotion, faith, surrender and by following the teachings of your guru. Also unconditional love, forgiveness, gratitude meditation and release meditation will help to dissolve your (sanchit, kriyaman) karmic patterns and structure. As I said before, prarabhdha karma cannot be dissolved completely, you can only reduce its impact and time to whatever extent possible, so when prarabhdha karma is on the surface, it is the best time to learn your spiritual lessons and grow spiritually. Also one more important thing to note here is that, for example you harm someone financially but due to this, that person and his family also goes through emotional, mental and physical pain, then you will also have to face the consequences of this karma not just financially but also mentally, emotionally and physically. Everyone will have to face the consequences of their good and bad karma eventually, it may not necessarily be the way you like it or want it. One more clarity regarding this subject I want to give to all of you is that no one can give you healing or enlightenment or anything just like that. You get healed or enlightened or self
realized because of your prarabhdha karma. If it is in your prarabhdha karma to receive, you will get it anywhere and through anyone but if it is not in your prarabhdha, you will not get it anywhere or through anyone. Positive and good prarabhdha karma can be created by undying faith and surrender towards your guru and god/deity, by doing sadhna/ meditation, seva/selfless work, good karma, bhakti/devotion and by applying the teachings of your guru in your life. Everyone has to work out their karma on their own. Your past and present actions/karma will determine or create your future prarabhdha karma. Whatever I received through my guru was in my prarabhdha karma. I would have received it anywhere, because I was meant to receive it. That is why guru s job is only to guide and help the disciple to get rid of bad or negative sanchit karma and bad or negative kriyaman karma of the past so that it does not take the shape of future prarabhdha karma and guru’s job is also to help the disciple to do good or positive karma in the present so that it creates good or positive prarabhdha karma in the future. The rest will happen on its own If what I have stated above is not true, then all the saints and gurus in the past or even in the present times could have healed everyone on this planet earth and dissolved the entire karmic structure of everyone. But they cannot do it because even they cannot go against the spiritual laws, karmic laws or laws of universe. Why gurus or saints are able to help only few of them? Why not everyone? The only answer is, that it was according to their prarabhdha karma. Saints and gurus cannot be biased towards the only few who come to them. They are supposed to have such a big heart and so much compassion that if it is possible they would heal everyone and make everyone free from their karma, not just a few. They cannot do it because they are bounded and tied by the law of karma.
