Earth Wears A Code Of Life

Earth Wears A Code Of Life

Upon this planet, eventually every experience gets shared
All the attacks upon the micro world are recorded, and sent back
Where they all began, into bodies of humans, genetic DaVinci codes
For four billion plus years, the genetic codes have been passed along

Flashes of DNA and RNA, like atoms blasting photons back and forth
Light of life, interacting with every other life form, trading, injecting
Masses of cells and bits, some connected, some not, some bits of bits
Others, massive colonies like us, sometimes the models of cooperation
Other times, left hands ignorant of the left foots sprawling activities

Entire planetary wide molecular mass of life, in constant contact with itself
For four billion years, viruses, bacteria, microbes, smaller life forms
Bits that are just the outlines of life, viruses carrying all kinds of messages
Always interacting with the larger bodies, uploading genetic experiences
Animals to animals, plants to plants, plants and animals, jumping all barriers

Genetically encoded messages, effecting replication of genetic instructions
Patch quilting Earth's coat of many colors, scaly, hairy, bony, slimy, feathered
Changing, guiding, evolution matching the constantly changing environment
Chemicals concentrated, species dying out, other events, even volcanic ash
Spinning threads, threading together perpetual existence of never ending life

Shaping the perpetual never ending sour dough mass of living genetic history
Each wave only a test, impersonal, a new software update for body hardware
Everything meshes up just fine, a passing grade, reward another year of life
Too little or too much of a reception, helping hands reach out, sharing success
