Heroes And Lies

After Years Of Lying
Airbrushed to perfection, heroes pushed onto platforms, pushed off just as fast
Falling down while remaining upright, indecisive, turning illusions into delusions
After years of lying, now no one believes, stories changing every other week
Everyone saying what they want to be true, hoping it will happen, no need of facts
What happens somewhere else doesn’t happen where we are, that Read more of this blog post »

Living in the Event Horizon of a Big Mud Hole (Poetry)
125 chapters   —   updated May 10, 2016 12:58PM
Description: Poems about what goes on in the shadows of life. Technology, Mythology, ecology, and pre-history, are woven together in these well written, multi-layered poems. Ancient civilizations left rock blocks while we leave live thoughts falling like dead leaves composting in day old internet records. I believe I disagree.
Living In The Event Horizon Of A Big Mud Hole (Outdoors & Nature)
2 chapters   —   updated Jan 11, 2016 02:57PM
Description: Earth is the printer Gravity is the software Sediment is the ink Sometimes the printouts Have a life of their own Ecocriticism presented in sentence fragments to illustrate the fact that no one really understands how the world works. You control where your thoughts take you in a world where complex life is embedded in a microbial whirlwind loaded with genetic dander. Only in the mind do we have a majority share holder position, in our bodies we have a minority share holder position. Various inventions made to make life simpler actually keep shifting the identity of the final winner, much the same as a game of musical chairs.
Nature (Outdoors & Nature)

Description: collection of 3 line nature haikus

The Fall of Babel by Josiah Bancroft
“The reason we study and learn, the reason we take only what we need, is because we have all been given a great gift—the gift of civilization, the gift of understanding, the gift of mastery over our environment—and if we misuse these, if we take these things for granted, the ones who will suffer most are our sons and daughters. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the fruits of our ancestors’ labor. We should relish the pudding. But that privilege does not relieve us of our responsibility to be faithful custodians of the world we leave for our children.”
